Lindsay Lohan is being accused of theft once again, as she’s just been named a formal suspect in the theft of $100,000 worth of sunglasses and watches from the Hollywood Hills home of Sam Magid, TMZ reports. TMZ reports that Lindsay and her assistant Gavin Doyle are both suspects in the theft, according to law enforcement sources. Lindsay had been at Sam’s house frequently, including an all-night house party on Sunday, Aug. 19. Sam reported the theft to the LAPD on Monday, Aug. 20. In a bizarre twist, Sam has recanted his story and now claims that nothing was stolen, according to the report. But sources tell TMZ that the cops aren’t closing out the investigation because they believe they have independent witnesses who can prove that Lindsay and Gavin were the thieves. This could be very bad news for Lindsay, as she’s on probation from the theft case involving the necklace at a Venice jewelry store a year ago. According to TMZ, if she’s found guilty of this theft, she could go to jail as a violation of her probation. This is just another in a string of incidents involving Lindsay and theft. Beyond the 2011 theft of the $2,500 necklace that she’s on probation for, Lindsay was accused of stealing a $35,000 Rolex watch in 2010 and of stealing an $11,000 mink fur coat in 2008.
